Aylin Cinarli, was born in Montreal, Canada and raised in Istanbul, Turkey. She is currently pursuing her masters of Architecture at Pratt Institute, in Brooklyn, New York and will graduate in May 2013. Between her Undergraduate and Graduate studies, Aylin gained experience working in New York City. Most recently, she was an intermediate designer at Skidmore Owings and Merrill, focused on the Akbank project in Istanbul, Turkey and the Qatar Petroleum Project, in Doha, Qatar. Prior to joining SOM, Aylin worked at Gensler, focused on the New York Times and the Bank of America project, both in New York. Prior to joining Gensler, Aylin worked at Pompei A.D, a mid-size firm dealing with retail design. Aylin attended the French Lycee Pierre Loti in Istanbul, and received her Bachelor of Science in Architecture at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia.
